I've got lots of links for you today!

Last night my daughter used up the last of my page protectors for a school project and still needed more. I went to Staples today armed with a 10% off one item coupon and $4 in rewards. WOW! Page protectors are expensive! I got the store brand, thin sheet protectors, 200 pack priced at $19.99. They cost me $15.21 after tax...OUCH. We do use a lot of them, though. I keep my autograph collection in them, and use them in my coupon insert binder. Treklet has a binder for a scrapbook, and uses them for her pages, and Katie is using hers for her "Makeup Morgue" which is a fancy name for a collection of faces from magazines that are used to show examples of different types of makeup applications.

Katie also informed me that she has to make four batches of lemon squares for an event at school. She'll need at least a dozen eggs, and lemon juice, which we are low on. So I moved up my grocery shopping. Since Ralphs and Vons are across the street from each other, and near Treklet's school, I chose to shop both stores today. Vons has 16 oz containers of raspberries for $1.99 this week, which is a STEAL and a coupon for 18 eggs at $1.99, which is cheaper than Costco. In order to use the coupon, you have to have a minimum $10 order, so I got 2 containers of raspberries, a pound of pears for .99, a large bottle of Safeway lemon juice for $3.99 and a package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts for only $1.97/lb. Yes, that was more than $10, but I couldn't resist the chicken at that price!

Ralphs is the winner for produce deals this week, other than the raspberries. I got broccoli, bananas, green beans, sweet onions & garlic. I also got 5 lbs of Roma tomatoes for .99/lb and made my favorite tomato soup with garlic and basil recipe as soon as I got home. It paired wonderfully with a grilled cheese sandwich and a pear for The Alien's lunch.  For a complete list of the best Ralphs deals this week go here:

Remember that Petsmart 15% coupon from a couple of days ago? Well it just so happens that Petsmart had hay on sale today. I got two 48 oz bags and a 5 lb. bag of pellets for little Stinky and saved $7 in all.

Oh, and I got this link for a free sample of rabbit or guinea pig food from CareFresh!
